We are pleased to present this 1990, 40 foot Luhrs Tournament 400 for your consideration!
Considered a stylish and rakish boat when she came out in 1987, the Luhrs 400 Convertible balanced fishing and cruising features in an attractive, mid-price package. Running on a modified-V hull with a wide 14-foot beam, the 400 is a roomy boat with a large fishing cockpit and an efficient two-stateroom interior. A full-size dinette is forward in the salon, a feature not always found in a boat this size. The double berth in the bow stateroom is angled to save space, and while the guest cabin with upper/lower bunks is small, the head compartment is surprisingly large and includes a separate stall shower. The 400s interior originally featured oak paneling but was revised in 1988 with updated fabrics and off-white mica surfaces trimmed in teak. Fishing accessories in the cockpit include fresh and saltwater washdowns, an in-deck fish box, rocket launchers and flush rod holders. The half tower was standard, and the flybridge is notably large compared to other convertibles her size and age. The cruising speed of the Luhrs 400 with 375hp Cats cruise around 22 knots (mid 20s top).

We are pleased to present this Luhrs Tournament 400. If you are looking to get into a cared for sport fisherman at a reasonable price, this is one you should consider. She is very clean for her age and has a lot of room both upstairs in the fly bridge and down below in the salon and galley area! The engines turn on a dime. One has 900 hours and the other has barely 100 since the rebuild. Both are Catapillar 3208's and generate 375 horse power each.
The Salon has a large living area with a sofa style dining area on the Starboard side towards the front. The living area has a large couch and plety of room for larger cushioned chairs and a table if so desired.
There are two cabins. The main cabin has a queen size berth and is roomy. The second cabin has two beds in a bunk configuration. Both can access the full head with stall shower. Both also have hanging closets and ample storage.
The galley features a ton of storage space, twin stainless sink, GE refrigerator, U-Line Icemaker and a three burner stove and microwave.
The cockpit has cabinets for tackle storage and lots of room for a fighting chair or general seating. Upstairs there is seating for 4 to 6 people in front of the helm and two captains chairs!
If you are looking for a reasonable way to enter the world of sport fishing, then you need to come see this boat!
